Cookie policy
Last updated: March 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, improve performance, and provide information to site owners. Some cookies are essential for the site to function; others help us understand how visitors use the site.
2. How we use cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. These are required for the website to function and cannot be switched off.
We use PostHog for product analytics, but it runs in cookieless mode (memory-only persistence). This means PostHog does not set any cookies, use local storage, or persist data on your device. Each page visit is treated as an independent, anonymous event with no cross-session tracking.
3. Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Authentication session managed by Supabase. Keeps you logged in when you have an account. | Essential | Session / 1 year |
| stiplo_cookie_consent | Records that you have acknowledged our cookie banner. Stored in localStorage (not a cookie, but functions similarly). | Essential | Persistent |
4. Third-party cookies
We do not set any third-party cookies. Our analytics provider (PostHog) operates in cookieless mode and does not place any cookies or tracking data on your device. We do not use any advertising or marketing cookies.
5. Managing cookies
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:
- View what cookies are set and delete them individually.
- Block third-party cookies.
- Block cookies from specific sites.
- Block all cookies.
- Delete all cookies when you close your browser.
Please note that blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the website from functioning correctly, particularly authenticated features like the dashboard.
6. Future changes
Our current analytics setup (PostHog in cookieless mode) does not require cookie consent as no data is stored on your device. If we introduce cookies for analytics or other non-essential purposes in the future, we will:
- Update this Cookie Policy with full details of the new cookies.
- Provide a consent mechanism allowing you to accept or reject non-essential cookies.
- Not set any non-essential cookies until you have given consent.
7. More information
